I made this album up out of radio tapes that Red had [recorded in 1960-63] and were very familiar to me from years ago at Clinton. This is the album I always wished they'd done but somehow never came to pass. A lot of these cuts were heard every day at noon on WHOW with Uncle Johnny Barton and they were all cut at 419 West Main; Red Cravens, guitar; Harley Bray, banjo; Francis Bray, bass, and Nate Bray, mandolin.' --John Hartford
