Handy Award winner, Ruth returns with this new set of songs that explores the territory between jazz and the blues, moving from the classic ballad sound of 'Never Let Me Go' to her humorous rendition of the traditional 'Cabbage Head.' Recorded in New Orleans with an all-star band, with arrangements by Wardell Quezergue, Victor Goines and Bill Easley.
