Bob Marley's legacy began when he sang for Clement Dodd's Studio One label. He and his partners in the Wailers, Peter Tosh and Bunny Livingstone, became huge hitmakers in Jamaica and after leaving Studio One went on to international acclaim. This 19-song collection explores the great legacy of the group's stay at Studio One and is filled with many of the rare sides long in demand like 'Rock Sweet Rock' and 'I Need You So,' as well as such ska scorchers as 'Do You Feel the Same Way Too' and 'Your Love.' Also included is the very rare holiday classic 'White Christmas' and a rare acoustic version of 'Where is My Mother.' Most tracks heard here have never been released on CD (also available on LP and cassette) before and are an indispensable addition to the great history of one of reggae's most important groups. This release contains 60 minutes of some of the finest reggae music ever recorded, and comes with archival notes by Wailer authorities Roger Steffens and Leroy Jodie Pierson and many rare and unpublished photos.
