Released on the heels of the Academy Awards ceremony where the winning song was "You Must Love Me" from the movie version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash hit musical Evita, Telarc presents this rich, evocative collection of original jazz arrangements of the tunes from the show.

Kramer made the decision to do a Broadway score “en jazz” while he was searching for new purpose in his development as a jazz musician. He found Lloyd Webber’s original melodies richly communicative, and the story of Evita a very human and compelling one. In the true jazz tradition, he and his two partners created these arrangements on the spot at the recording sessions, and they bring fresh ideas to the score in terms of their new harmonic and rhythmic treatments of the tunes.
