The late, great, Chicago bluesman Junior Wells, known as the "Godfather of the Blues," died in January of 1998. Junior's recording Better Off with the Blues (CD-83354) launched the Telarc Blues label in 1993. Following that release, Junior made three other outstanding recordings for Telarc: Everybody’s Getting’ Some, which featured a sensational line-up of guest artists, including Sonny Landreth, Bonnie Raitt, and Carlos Santana; Come On in This House, nominated for a Grammy Award, winner of the W.C. Handy Blues Award, and chosen by the readers of Living Blues as Blues Album of the Year; and Live at Buddy Guy’s Legends, also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album of 1997.

Keep on Steppin'features twelve of the greatest and most unforgettable hits from Junior's four Telarc recording.
