Joe Cormier is justly proud of his deeply rooted French-Acadian heritage, and in folk festivals he is often scheduled alongside Cajun fiddlers and other French-speaking musicians. Joe persists in calling his music 'Scottish,' despite the fact that it sounds quite different from that played by young fiddlers in Scotland toady. The tunes on this record represent memories that stretch back over fifty years, played with all the vigor of a fiddler in his prime.
