Recorded live at the Old Town School of Folk Music, May 15, 1988, Politics Live showcases Paxton doing what he does best: tilting irreverently at some of politics' and big business' biggest windmills. Featured are versions of old favorites from Paxton's Elektra years ('Lyndon Johnson Told the Nation,' the devastating 'Jimmy Newman'), recent classics such as 'One Million Lawyers,' the drug-testing lampoon 'We're Filling a Bottle for Ronnie,' and the profound 'The Death of Stephen Biko.' Backing Paxton is Billy Panda on guitar, mandolin, banjo, and Rich Maisel on bass. Printed lyrics included.
