Eddy Clearwater (born Edward Harrington, a/k/a Guitar Eddy, The Chief) first came to Chicago from Mississippi in 1950 to be part of the blues scene. Now, 50 years later, he has made the album he came here to record. Deep, slow, serious blues that means it. Blues you can dance to that's been perfected by years of steady, crowd pleasing club gigs. Rock and rollin' blues - music that finds the perfect common ground between the Chicago Blues of the fifties and the Rock & Roll being made in the river towns to our south. He brings it all together here in a self-assured, easy style that could only come from a true blues veteran. Ladies and Gentlemen, Eddy Clearwater.
