The Jazz Alliance is proud to present the debut of Susannah McCorkle’s “Thanks For The Memory, Songs Of Leo Robin” in compact disc format. This is a re-release of the original 1985 LP release.

Leo Robin was second only to Mack Gordon as Hollywood’s most successful lyricist. He wrote songs for over one hundred movies with some of the best composers of his time: Richard Whiting, Ralph Rainger, Jerome Kern, Harry Warren, Aruther Schwartz, Harold Arlen and Jule Styne.

Leo’s last commission, in 1982, was to write updated lyrics to Thanks For The Memory for another great artist and survivor, Frank Sinatra.

Susannah McCorkle sings some of Leo’s greatest works in his honor. Accompanied by Keith Ingham on piano, Steve LaSpina on bass, Joe Cocuzzo on drums, Phil Bodner on clarinet / alto sax / flute, Chris Flory on guitar, and Al Klink on tenor sax.
