Now justly famous as a bluegrass supergroup in their own right, ì the first meeting of 'The Bluegrass Album Band' was, in part, a ì re-grouping of an early J.D. Crowe band, which Tony Rice and ì Doyle Lawson had both been a part of. Not only did they ì recapture much of the fire and magic of their earlier time ì together on this debut, but they discovered a chemistry which has ì subsequently carried them through a whole string of fine ì traditional bluegrass albums.
