Butler was born in Autagaville, Alabama, and learned harmonica as a boy from local friends and from listening to his mother's records. He eventually met Willie Dixon who then produced sessions in Chicago at Chess for release on Jewel. He made an album for Mercury in 1969 and another for TK in 1976. Finally, in 1991, he made this album, showcasing his wonderful earthy voice, his down-home harmonica playing, and his original writing talents. Produced by legendary blues aficionado Mike Vernon, in England.
