This is a band with impressive credentials. Banjoist Scott ì Vestal spent the mid-eighties as a member of Doyle Lawson and ì Quicksilver. Guitarist and vocalist Robert Hale has worked with ì the Reno Brothers and for a while was lead vocalist for J.D. ì Crowe's New South. Bassist Ernie Sykes has been done stints with ì Don Reno and the Bluegrass Cardinals. Their debut, recorded in ì Nashville with guest fiddler Blaine Sprouse, mixes country, ì bluegrass, and a little jazz. Tunes include Merle Haggard's 'The ì Longer You Wait,' Leon Jackson's 'Love Please Come Home,' 'Living ì Like a Fool' (which they learned from Jimmy Martin), 12 songs in ì all.
