During jazz artist George Benson's storied career, he's worked with such luminaries as Quincy Jones, Jack McDuff and, most recently, Al Jarreau. Now, thanks to a new video series by WorkshopLive.com, you can work with him, too.
Under the name "George Benson's Breezin' Lounge," the year-long series will offer a mix of guitar lessons and interviews from the 10-time Grammy-winner. Unlike other online instructional videos, Benson's installments will come with downloadable sheet music, animated notation, the option to playback lessons in slow motion and other helpful tools. Also In the works are exclusive live Webcasts in which Benson will perform and offer a Q&A session.
Benson, who was recently honored with the 2009 National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters Award, said, "My hope is that aspiring guitar players everywhere will get something valuable out of my candid comments and demonstrations."
Bob Land, Chief Marketing Officer of WorkshopLive added, "George Benson's playing is truly masterful so we're thrilled to be able to offer this incredible level of direct access to him and his music."
The series will be available to members only and a fee is required. Right now, new members can get 50 percent off the fee by using the promo code "PITTSBURGH." To sign up, visit WorkshopLive.com/GeorgeBenson. For more information, visit WorkshopLive.com.
