15 OCT 13 DAVID VIENNA
You've been hearing about it for weeks, now it's finally here. Music icon Paul McCartney's latest album, NEW, hit shelves (both physical and digital) Oct. 15 and fans of stellar songs can satiate their auditory need.
For this, his 16th studio album, McCartney worked with a bunch of different producers to create an eclectic mix of sounds. "It's funny, when I play people the album, they're surprised it's me," he said. "A lot of the tracks are quite varied and not necessarily in a style you'd recognize as mine. But, I didn't want it to all sound the same. We had a lot of fun."
McCartney's been popping up and various places -- like on Hollywood Blvd. and even a school -- to play music from and promote NEW. Keep an eye out for more such performances from the former Beatle. In the meantime, NEW is available in three different editions: standard, deluxe and vinyl.
